The Design Process: Lucy In The Sky is like the hippy substitute teacher. It's perfectly balanced to be genderless while still holding a big spoon full of personality. It gives you retro ocean vibes. That calming energy mixed with a rock n roll edge. I wanted this tee to be a spin off of that glorious Sloppy Joe. The soft blue & white palette, tied together with those orange accents... OOFT!

The Fit + Feel: The sizing is tailored to menswear, and the fit is designed to be perfectly oversized for the gals, and perfectly relaxed for the guys. The sizing is incredibly standard so you should be safe to order what you usually would in life. If you prefer a more fitted tee, then size down twice for the gals, and once for the guys. But holy hell, the fit and feel of this is killer. The soft cotton has a slight spandex blend through it, ensuring it has a glorious amount of flexibility to it too. I hope you love it as much as I do!!

Shanah’s the name, pushing boundaries is the game.
I’m 32 years old, and in 2024 I sacrificed my house deposit to launch the activewear brand of my dreams. I’m no one special. I just love fashion, and I love training.
I’m someone who see’s the world in shapes and colour palettes. And my activewear collection was one of those things in life that used to bore me to my soul. It all felt depressing and daggy, but I had to wear it. What I wanted to wear just didn’t exist. I desperately wanted to stir the pot a bit. Breathe some sunshine into everyones wardrobe. I just craved something different. Something with personality.
Any way, I’ve been married over 10 years, had 2 babies, and have had to walk through some of life’s darkest valleys. Including burying one of my children. One of those things that changes a person forever. The type of grief that lasts a lifetime. As a broken soul, I then joined CrossFit. Another move that changed my life forever.
I’m a big believer in the look good train ugly energy. I love getting ready in the morning and the whole process of it. But I also love pushing my limits in training. Entering that ugly pain cave. I’m just forever shocked at what our bodies can do. The reward to training ugly feels endless. I never thought I would ever feel this strong. It's the most empowering process i've ever been through.
But don’t just train ugly in the gym. Train ugly in life too. Keep striving toward being a better human. Keep learning. And never stop chasing your dreams. Don’t be scared to have big ones either. Back yourself fully and don’t let anyone else steal your sunshine. Find ways to be the sunshine for others too. And please WEAR WHATEVER YOU WANT. Don't restrict yourself from living a colourful life. You’re an absolute gift and the world needs you. Go get em tiger! “Insert butt slap here”.

My goal is to design activewear that nobody's seen before. Runway style collections. Collections that tell story's and drive emotion. Pieces that empower. Kickass fits that turn heads everywhere. So while the other brands chuck their logo on ready made styles off the shelf, I go the opposite route. Nothing I create comes straight off the shelf. All She's Electric pieces are fully designed by yours truly, and then they're hand crafted by my manufacturing team in Yiwu Zhejiang China. The activewear capital.
The whole process from idea, to physical product goes something like this.
1. My husband is some what of an artist. So I'll dream up something magical in my head, and then I'll describe the designs to him. He will then get to work bringing the concept from my head, into a drawing. I will then tweak and play with the drawing until I love it. This is also the stage where I make sure all the pieces flow together and that the collection as a whole can tell a story.
2. Once we have the designs drawn up, I will then share them with my incredible sample engineer over in Yiwu Zhejiang. She then get's to work using her magical skills, turning my drawings into reality. I work incredibly closely with her throughout the entire sampling process. There's usually lots of back and forth, until voila! We land on the perfect pattern.
3. Once we've finished designing the pattern, I then hand it over to my incredible manufacturing team which is made up of about 40 people. They get to work on creating all the pieces for us, which typically takes about 4-8 weeks.
Every piece is designed with intention and made with care. Because I work in small curated collections, it allows me to control the materials I order and ensure they're all used up across multiple pieces before any waste happens. I mainly work with 2 main material blends. 100% cotton for the waffle, corduroy and t-shirts, as well as a nylon/spandex blend which is the delicious buttery material I use across the active pieces.
I have so many goals moving forward and as I grow, I'm looking forward to finding new ways that I can make a positive impact everywhere.

If something doesn't fit, you are more than welcome to ship items back in exchange for a different size.
